Server controls

Remote console when you need it

When a server will not boot, a console shows you exactly what it is doing. Request one from the panel, as soon as possible or for a time you choose, for one to three hours. Our team connects it in the data centre and emails you when it is ready.

The console then opens in your browser on console.dedigermany.com. You see the screen from the first BIOS message onwards and can type as if you were standing next to the server. No Java, no plugins and no extra login to remember.

Need to install from an ISO, such as Windows Server or Proxmox VE? Name it in your request and we attach it before the session starts. How the console works.

Our Dell PowerEdge servers also include iDRAC Enterprise, which is always on and can mount ISO images for custom installs.

Network settings

Set reverse DNS for every address, so your mail server and your customers see your own host names. Order extra IPv4 addresses for $3 a month each: the first invoice is prorated, and the addresses are added to your server once it is paid.

Private networks connect your servers over a VLAN that never touches the public internet, ideal for database replication, backups and clusters. Traffic graphs show what each server sends and receives, by hour, day and month.

Billing and account

Invoices in US dollars with PDF downloads. Pay by card, PayPal, crypto or bank transfer, save a card for automatic payment, or keep account credit for renewals. Cancel any time: the server runs until the end of the period you paid for.

Protect your account with two-factor authentication, store SSH keys for rescue and reinstalls, and talk to our team through tickets or live chat from the same place.

Questions

Is there a control panel for my dedicated server?

Yes. Every server comes with access to our control panel at my.dedigermany.com. You can restart it, boot the rescue system, reinstall Linux, open a remote console, set firewall rules and reverse DNS, see traffic and manage invoices without opening a ticket.

Can I reboot my server myself?

Yes. The panel offers a soft reboot, a hard reset, a short or long press of the power button and, if nothing else works, a reset by a technician in the data centre.

Do I get a remote console (KVM) on every server?

Yes. Request a console from the panel for one to three hours, as soon as possible or at a time you choose. We connect it in the data centre and email you when it is ready; it then opens in your browser with no extra software. Dell PowerEdge servers also have iDRAC Enterprise, which is always available and can mount ISO images.

Can I reinstall the operating system myself?

Yes, for Linux. Choose an image, add your SSH keys and the server reinstalls itself, usually in 10 to 30 minutes. Everything on the disks is erased, so the panel asks you to confirm first. For Windows Server, open a ticket and our team reinstalls it.

Can I lock myself out with the firewall?

The panel helps you avoid it: rules start from templates such as SSH only or web server, outgoing traffic is always allowed and you are warned before saving rules that would block your own access. If it happens anyway, switch the firewall off from the panel.

Is the control panel included in the price?

Yes. The panel, the remote console, the firewall, traffic graphs and private networks cost nothing extra. Only extra IPv4 addresses and other add-ons are billed.
