Frequently asked questions

Everything people usually ask before ordering a German dedicated server.

Where are the servers located?

In datacenters in Falkenstein (Saxony) and Nuremberg (Bavaria), Germany. Both are certified to ISO 27001 and run on 100% renewable electricity. Most configurations deploy in Falkenstein.

How quickly will my server be ready?

Most orders are online within 24 hours of payment. Custom configurations with extra drives or memory can take a few business days.

Is traffic really unmetered?

Yes. Every plan includes a 1 Gbit/s port with no monthly traffic cap. Optional 10 Gbit/s uplinks are billed by volume.

Do I get full root or administrator access?

Yes. You receive full root (Linux) or administrator (Windows) access, plus a rescue system you can boot from the client area.

Which operating systems can I install?

Ubuntu, Debian, AlmaLinux, Rocky Linux, CentOS Stream, openSUSE, Arch Linux and Windows Server 2025. You can also install a custom image or Proxmox VE.

Is DDoS protection included?

Yes. Network-level DDoS mitigation filters common volumetric attacks at no extra cost.

Are the servers managed?

Servers are unmanaged by default: we look after hardware and network, you look after the software. Managed support is available for $49 per month.

What happens if hardware fails?

Technicians on site around the clock replace failed drives, memory or power supplies. Drive swaps in RAID 1 are usually completed within a few hours of your request.

Is there a minimum contract?

No. Servers are billed monthly and you can cancel at any time from the client area. Quarterly and annual billing are also available.

Which payment methods do you accept?

Cards, PayPal, cryptocurrency and bank transfer. All prices are in US dollars and exclude any VAT that applies in your country.

Can I get additional IP addresses?
